Palm Sunday Away From Home

Thanks for looking in today, and I trust you are celebrating Palm Sunday wherever you happen to be.

On my part, I am observing the weekend in a way I was not planning. I received a call to join a parish staff that had just lost its resident pastor under difficult circumstances. I am on the property as a counselor and listener, backing up a very good parish staff as it goes about its ministries while carrying its own cross of grief.

I will be at the parish for the day Monday and Tuesday for counseling or other back up services as they are needed. Time will tell the exact demand, but I remain committed to the daily post here, and will try to stay on schedule. Monday is our "morality day" study and while it may appear late in the day, every effort will be made to post.

In the meantime, keep my host parish in your prayers...they are a wonderfully resilient congregation and they have already blessed me by their example of grace under fire.
