Today I am taking a "recharge the batteries" day. I do this when I can no longer see the wood of my desk beneath the clutter of notes, journals, etc. But I will be posting tomorrow.
However, I received a forward from my dear friend Matt, whom I met 53 years ago and who continues to live what I can only write about. He sent me an hour lecture by the noted New York Times columnist and author David Brooks. I watched it this AM and then proceeded to file it for annual viewing. This is the finest example of moral catechesis I have seen in many years. So, if you have some time down the road, I hope you get a chance to hear Mr. Brooks. If nothing else, he will set your catechetical bar of excellence a lot higher. Thanks, Matt, and I hope the trout are biting. Comments are closed.
