Road Trip

Last week I expressed hope in starting a series on Wednesdays dealing with job site satisfaction within the Church. I am working on notes for that, in part from the book I cited last week. Today, however, I will be on the road, visiting an old priest friend who welcomed me here to Florida when I arrived in 1978. Thus I'm going to take an "off-day" today from the Café. I have not abandoned the project, though.

However, in working on the challenges to religious educators, I did come across the CARA study on parishes in the United States as of 2014. This is an exhaustive work of research into Catholic life in parishes. I have linked the study to today's post, and you might want to scan through it. I recommend book-marking the site given its length and its wide variety of data bases that may be useful to you down the road.

As of now, I believe the next episode of the Catechism (paragraph 25) should be up tomorrow.
