You may be aware by now of the mass shooting early this morning here in my hometown Orlando area. Please join me in prayer for everyone directly impacted, and for healing of the wounds that impact all of us when faced with the sin of calculated violence.
I am entering into one of my busiest times of the year, my diocese's "summer institute" where a team of instructors conducts theology courses across my diocese for Catholic school teachers and parish catechists. This is my busiest year to date, five courses in eight days, beginning with a program on Christian Sexuality yesterday (Saturday). I will be posting my takeaways from yesterday's experience on Wednesday, "Professional Development Day." However, the weekly routine posted on the home page may be somewhat disrupted as I travel around Central Florida--during a tropical storm, no less. But the Café is alive and well and I will post announcements of new entries on the Catechist Café Facebook site as well as here at home. I hope you all have had a good weekend, and for the Catholic school followers who are starting vacation--congratulations!
